Wrought Iron Fence for a House (BP255)
BP255 was the owner’s idea, and we made it exactly as they imagined: bold scrolls and spears with solid accents in each panel.
We make fences to our own designs or yours, of any kind.

The owner’s own idea
BP255 was designed by the owner of the house, and we made it exactly as they imagined it. Each span carries large, bold scrolls that curl around a central spear, with flat, solid accents in black steel set among them, and the lower part is a row of plain bars. The result is decisive and graphic, a fence that closes the property elegantly but with a clear, strong line.
The photo shows a panel beside a white pillar, where the dark shapes stand out sharply against the sky and the facade.
Building a client’s design
Clients often come with a sketch, a photo of a fence they saw abroad or just an idea. We turn that into a scale drawing, check that the design can be made strong enough for its size, and suggest small changes where the structure needs them, for example a thicker frame or an extra connection between two scrolls. Only when the drawing is approved do we start forging, so the finished fence matches what the client had in mind.
Solid accents like those on BP255 are cut from steel plate and shaped before they are welded into the panel. They add privacy at eye level and give the design its distinctive silhouette.
Privacy without heaviness
The combination of open bars and solid shapes means the fence screens part of the view while letting light through. It suits fronts that are well exposed to the street, where owners want the house to look good from the drive and the pavement, but do not want a closed wall. The scrolls and accents can be made larger for more privacy or smaller for a lighter look.
- any scroll or accent shape drawn from your sketch,
- solid accents in black, bronze or a contrasting colour,
- driveway gate and wicket in the same pattern,
- house number or monogram worked into a solid accent.
How long it takes
A one-off design takes a little longer than a repeat of an existing pattern, because the drawing has to be developed and approved first. After approval, forging, corrosion protection and painting follow in the same order as for our standard designs, and we agree the installation date once the panels are finished.
Your design, our forge
We make fences to our own designs and to those of our clients, of every style and size. If you have an idea, send it to us; for inspiration, the designs we have already made are collected in our gallery of forged fences.
