Wrought Iron Rococo Fence (BP256)
BP256 is one of our most intricate fence patterns. A lot happens in it: scrolls, rosettes with gilded centres and a band of lattice, yet even the smallest detail is perfectly finished.

In the photo it runs along a street between forged posts.
From proposal to installation
Send us a message and we will propose, design, manufacture, deliver and install a fence of the highest quality, in the USA as well as in Europe. Compare it with the flowing rococo-baroque fence BP246.
An entrance fence in the rococo style
BP256 is meant for the most visible part of a property: the frontage on either side of the driveway gate. Its spans are filled with circular rosettes made of radiating scrolls, each with a gilded centre, and the space between them is woven with smaller curls and leaves. A band of lattice runs along the base, and a curved crest closes the top. The photo shows a span next to a forged post with a ball finial, with the street behind it.
Lightness through curves
The strength of rococo ornament lies in its flowing lines. Arches and plant motifs give BP256 a lightness that contrasts with its solid construction, so the fence looks delicate from the street even though it is made from heavy steel. That makes it a good match for classical architecture and carefully designed facades, where each element of the frontage is meant to be noticed.
Stiffness next to the gate
A fence beside a gate takes knocks from cars, opening leaves and visitors, so it has to be particularly rigid. On BP256 the rosettes are welded to each other and to the frame at many points, which turns the ornament into a stiff web. The posts beside the gate are heavier than the others and anchored deeper, and they can carry the hinges or the motor of an automatic gate.
Symmetry and rhythm
In this style everything depends on symmetry, the rhythm of the ornament and the continuity of the lines. We set out the rosettes so that they are centred in every span, and we adjust their number to the width of the opening rather than cutting a pattern short. The gilded centres are applied last, by hand, so they stay crisp.
For a flowing alternative with large leaves, compare the rococo-baroque fence BP246. Both can be made with matching gates and wickets, delivered and installed in Europe and in the USA.
Colour options for rococo ironwork
Rococo ironwork was often painted in light colours or gilded generously, while later owners preferred black with gold. BP256 can follow either tradition: black with gilded rosette centres, as in the photo, graphite with brass-coloured highlights, or a light ivory finish that makes the rosettes look almost like lace. We show colour samples before painting, so the choice is made on real steel rather than on a screen.
A calling card from the street
A rococo entrance fence is chosen when the drive should look elegant and the street frontage should build prestige at first glance. It brings order to the entrance zone and makes the area around the gate and the drive look more representative, while still being a solid steel boundary that marks the plot clearly. Each one is made in our workshop with symmetry, rhythm and continuity of line as the guiding rules.
