Forged Gate with Wood (BM13)
BM13 combines wrought metal with natural wood. Timber boards fill the leaves, and over them our master blacksmiths laid acanthus scrolls, rosettes and two large carved steel birds.

It is entirely hand-made and a fine example of how warm wood and dark iron complement each other. The pattern is the essence of blacksmithing: acanthus combined with hand-carved steel birds.
Birds forged on both faces
The forged ornaments on our wooden gates are made in a two-sided technique, so the gate looks the same and carries an identical pattern on both faces. Against the timber runs a symmetrical scene with two forged birds turned towards each other, their tails spread wide, surrounded by scrolls, leaves and rosettes.
A crest with a spearhead
Bands of lattice run across the top and the bottom of the leaves, and above the centre rises a crest with a tall spearhead and forged scrolls stretching out to the sides. Stone pillars, as in the photos, suit the natural character of the gate well. We make some of the most unusual wrought iron gates in the world and are happy to answer your questions. More designs are collected among our sculptured gates and fences.
