Fence with Forged Tulips (BM46)

BM46 is a hand-made steel fence span planted with several rows of forged tulips in red and yellow, as cheerful as a spring flowerbed but there all year.

The span shown is 250 cm (about 8 ft 2 in) long and 200 cm (about 6 ft 7 in) high, and both the pattern and the dimensions can be changed. Like all our spans, it is hot-dip galvanized.

A spring flowerbed all year round

Slender stems with long, pointed leaves rise from the bottom of the span like plants from a bed, and at different heights they open into red and yellow blooms. Because the flowers are arranged in several staggered rows, the span reads as a full border rather than a single line of flowers, and the garden behind it stays visible between the stems.

Stems that carry the span

The tulip pattern is not decoration hung on a frame. The stems themselves run through the span and carry it, with the flowers and leaves fixed to them at different heights. That gives the span a natural, irregular rhythm and keeps it stiff enough for a front fence between brick pillars, as in the photos.

Colours and size to order

Tulips can be painted in any colours, mixed with other flowers, kept in one colour for a calmer look, or used only on the spans near the entrance.
