Art Nouveau Forged Fence (BP93)

BP93 is a traditional fence panel drawn in the Art Nouveau spirit. Large flowing curves frame the bars, and forged details and rivets add a craftsman’s touch.

For a simpler take on the same style, see our Art Nouveau fence BP45.

Art Nouveau with an old-blacksmith feel

BP93 has a clear Art Nouveau and old-blacksmith character. Its proportions are heavier than usual and the strength of the steel is visible: large, flowing curves frame the bars, rivets and collars hold the elements together, and the forged details keep the marks of the hammer. The fence is neither geometric nor technical; it looks as if it had grown rather than been assembled.

Free lines and slight irregularities, typical of Art Nouveau inspirations, run through the whole design. The details are not identical, which gives every span an individual character.

Made without ready-made patterns

BP93 is made by hand in our workshop, without using stock components. Each realisation therefore differs in small details, and the steel is shaped in a way that keeps its natural texture. That approach is what gives Art Nouveau ironwork its charm: the material is allowed to show how it was worked.

Where BP93 feels at home

The fence looks solid and durable at first sight, yet it does not dominate its surroundings. It goes well with greenery, stone and timber, and it suits houses with classical architecture, manor houses and buildings inspired by history. Its open structure keeps contact with the garden while marking the boundary clearly.

For owners who value craft, tradition and forms that outlast fashions, BP93 is a natural choice, and its sibling BP45 offers a simpler version of the same style.

Rivets and collars

Rivets and collars are an important part of the old-blacksmith look of BP93. Where two curves meet, they are bound with a forged collar instead of a hidden weld, and some joints are riveted hot, leaving a rounded head on the surface. These small details show how the fence was made and add to its authentic, handmade appearance.
