Exclusive Forged Bench (MK2)
MK2 is an Art Nouveau bench whose frame seems to be in motion: flowing bands of copper-patinated steel wrap a hardwood seat and backrest like a cradle.

The sides are made of flat steel bands that run into one another in long, sweeping lines, split and meet again. In several places they are joined with rivets, and small drops hang from the curves like water from leaves. Above the backrest runs a crest of broad, twisting bands that recall plant stems or ribbons in the wind, so the bench has a distinctive silhouette and is worth looking at from behind too.
Solid steel, warm wood
The frame carries a copper-brown patina that glows lighter on the edges, and the light hardwood slats follow a comfortable, backward-leaning curve. Wood and steel complement each other in colour and look warm together. MK2 is made from very solid material, and its legs finish in round base plates, so it stands securely on paving, terraces and firm paths. The armrests are forged as part of the sides and are comfortable to lean on. Hardwood is our standard, but any other wood can be chosen.
A focal point or a quiet accent
MK2 can be the centre of a seating area, for example under a gazebo or alongside pergolas, arbours and other garden architecture, or a quiet accent at the edge of the garden. Its form is clear enough not to look overloaded and individual enough to be noticed, which makes it a good match for modern gardens too, alongside the more ornate garden benches we forge.
