Stair Railing Forged in a Historic Style (BA20)
BA20 recalls the staircases of old mansions and palaces: a rich, refined pattern running beneath arches in a grand hall.

It can be made entirely of steel or combined with bronze and brass, and parts of it can be gilded with real gold.
Recalling old mansions
BA20 recalls the stair and gallery railings of old mansions. Its pattern of hand-formed spirals and subtle embossing runs in a calm, horizontal rhythm along the whole length, and the dark, antique finish gives the steel a noble, slightly aged look. In the photo it runs along an upper gallery under arches, topped with a wooden rail.
Steel, bronze, brass and gold
The railing can be made entirely of steel, or combine steel with bronze and brass for selected elements. Parts of the ornament can also be gilded with real gold leaf, which keeps its shine indoors for decades. These combinations allow a historic interior to be restored, or a new one to be given the character of a period house.
For stairs and galleries
The same design works on a stair, on a mezzanine or along an upper floor, because its rhythm is horizontal and calm. Openwork keeps light moving between the floors. We fit every span to the measured space, so the pattern starts and ends neatly at walls and posts.
